Difference between Child Theme & Parent Theme

Your new myb Theme comes with a Child Theme and Parent Theme. No worries when uploading and installing your myb Theme everything goes automatically.

When the installation is completed both themes are enrolled to your WP site but only the Child Theme is activated. Why is that so? This will allow you to get all the future theme updates without losing any custom settings in your theme. The future theme updates will be done via the inactive Parent Theme. If an update is available simply click on the update notification on the theme. That’s all and you don’t need to worry about anything else.

NOTE: Please leave the Child Theme always activated and don’t switch to the Parent Theme. You will loose all your custom settings when doing the theme update with the Parent Theme as the active theme.
